Or did A$AP Rocky feature on one of Lana's videos? Depends on who you feel is more talented....

The song I was referring to isn't out yet (apparently it'll be on Rocky's upcoming album), but that is how I will choose to remember Lana del Rey, if at all. Her album is awful, her voice average and her entire image horribly contrived. Actually, I'll probably remember her for having sexy lips. Beyond that, very little.

Voted for "a pawn", although I don't find it quite satisfactory. Every musician who has commercial releases is a pawn of the music industry, some realize it, some don't ; some still make the music they like, others don't; etc.
That being said, I don't think Del Rey is a pawn of just the music industry either. She's a product (an H&M product these days) of her period, and as a celebrity, she's a pawn of the consumption policy in hardcore capitalism. If she can toy with the idea, she'll be fine, and if she can't, she'll be forgotten one year from now.

By the way, I'm sorry you didn't like my comment. You do seem to have some sort of problem with me as of recently, as it's not my first comment not to your liking. May I suggest the 'ignore' button?

Ha I had thought you were the one who had a problem with me many months back. Then some time later you said something which I had to look on wikipedia to find what it said, I think it went "I think therefore I am" but it had been in french. As a result, I decide not to argue with you for the reason which I don't really understand, sort of you saying you had decided on something and an_outlaw won't change that. But yeah, those fancy words you used last time were above my station so to speak.
I'm just a crow perched here, shoo me away if need be.
If anyone was interested, I found the comment to be all doom and gloom. It dismissed some of the fun in music (even if it was aimed at what was considered "commercial") and seems to be rearing dangerously close to "Mainstream is bad because"
