Sitting in a dark room with headphones usually. Don't like sounds to clash, and I usually have to concentrate on the music or do something whilst listening to the music without actually interrupting it.
Usually just surf the web or just lie in the dark immersed.

I listen to a lot of music on my phone at the gym while working out. Mostly rock and rap.
When I am at home, I listen to music on Spotify on my kindle. Mostly jazz and classical.

Depends on the day
I'm in High School, so on weekdays I usually listen to 2-3 albums (at home) and 1 at school each day.
On weekends, I usually listen to anywhere from 4-13 albums each day.
I try to do like a 75/25 split for albums that are new to me and ones that I've heard before.
When at home, I'm usually on BEA, Facebook, or Twitter while listening, and at school it's BEA and Classwork.

Road trips, plane trips, etc. I have to listen to music. Otherwise I sleep. And I drool. Obnoxiously.
I constantly listen to music while working or browsing the web.
Also, of late, I've been listening to an ambient playlist of mine while I sleep to help with my insomnia and nightmares. It's been helping. A lot.

Sensory overload indeed. Playoff football is too good to relegate to background noise, clean it up.
I love listening to music when I'm reading though, as long as it's on the softer side. Bon Iver, Iron And Wine, and Belle and Sebastian are favorites of mine while reading.

I typically listen music while I go around the internet. I usually go on a walk once a day, which I use as an opportunity to listen to an album I'm trying out.
Don't like to do it when I'm reading tho - stops me from focusing on the text. Instrumental music is exempt from this though.
