Inspired in part by the ongoing "Best Year in Music" tournament on the Games forum: What decade produced the greatest movies?
Poll above, and in the comments, please state what decade you voted for, and what movies inspired that choice.

I say 1950's, mostly due to Alfred Hitchcock's films, along with a few very good others.
1950 - Harvey
1951 - Strangers on a Train
1954 - Rear Window
1955 - East of Eden
1957 - 12 Angry Men
1959 - North By Northwest
1959 - Ben Hur
1959 - Anatomy of a Murder

Same with music - I'm going to go 90s.
Namely because of Shawshank and Green Mile.

Well, Jurassic Park came out in the 90s, so I guess my answer is the 90s.

I don't have a favourite decade for movies, nor a favourite decade for music, though I do have a soft spot for a lot of films from the late 80s and early 90s.

2012 was shockingly good for movies...

I've noticed that a lot of my favourite movies have been released in the late 1990s and early 2000s. To name a few: Amélie, Magnolia, Memento, Amores Perros, Ghost World, Donnie Darko, South Park:BL&U, American Beauty, Election, etc.
In general I seem to be biased towards the last couple of decades, but I won't vote for any yet, as I have also seen significantly more newer than "older" movies.

Not sure I could narrow it down to a decade but that's a pretty awesome line-up right there!
