Shocked
I will be posting my favorite albums on this web site in the next few months.
In choosing my favorite albums I:
1. Avoid Greatest Hits or Best of series.
2. Avoid live albums-although I do respect some amazing live albums from Johnny Cash and Nirvana.
3. Eliminate any albums that has a track that I do not like-sorry Honey Pie from the White Album and Michelle from Rubber Soul-for example.
4. No artist will have more than 2 albums in my top 40.
5. I try to find albums that I like in every decade since the 60s.
6. Although I respect previous lists compiled by rock critics and fans I want to use my own ears and consciousness to determine which albums I like.
7. I am always open to listen to new albums-both historically and current.

I have always been a fan of lists, and recently I am embarking on the task of creating my own list of my favorite albums.
I challenge readers to this website to create your own list with your own criteria as to what you enjoy about great albums.

Welcome to the site. Don't be afraid to post on the forums, the folks round here don't bite as much as they'd like you to think.

Looking forward to your chart, especially since it'll be based on your ears only - can't say I agree with rule three though.

2, 3, and 4 I don't agree with. But 6 = Applause It's because of rock critics that I don't listen to a lot of Beatles albums.
