I nevet "got" this record. Maybe it'll happen some day, but for now I think this is extremely boring Neutral

The music is pretty good, if very dated. However, I hate this album because it invented the skit.

I've been meaning to give this record a few more listens; I haven't heard since I first discovered several months ago...found some of it intriguing, but other parts were admittedly boring. i have found that 80s hip-hop doesn't age well for me, which is sad on my part because there's definitely good stuff on here. just wish I could appreciate it more.

Adore it.

May be my favourite hip-hop album ever. Revolutionized sampling (and of course the skit).

Key Tracks: "The Magic Number", "Jenifa Taught Me (Derwin's Revenge)", "Ghetto Thang", "Eye Know", "Take It Off", "Tread Water, "Potholes In My Lawn", "Plug Tunin'", "Buddy", "Me, Myself & I" and "D.A.I.S.Y. Age".

If you don't love this album, you don't love music. This album makes me happy like no other,no matter what it will put a smile on my face.Music is meant to be fun, positive, creative and this album epitomises each ,from start to finish it's perfect. The funniest album of all time also.As for sounding dated,I just don't see it. Confused

This album is a favorite of mine; it takes me to a very specific time but it doesn't feel very dated to me. I am not saying it is perfect- i accept that it has some flaws. Below is my response to a friend who commented on the album page:

"i hope you can add some specifics to your critique. I could understand a comment that the album is a little inconsistent, that some of the tracks are a little light, or that the overall sound is a little muddy, but....

and this is a big but, many of the tracks are clever, original, fresh, and fun, both lyrically and musically."
