Sometimes when you're feeling down, a real sad album is comforting.
What are some of the saddest albums you know?
Here's a few tear-jerkers to get started.

I read the title and entered to reply with "Hospice". When I saw you had already put it, I thought about "( )", but then I scrolled down a bit.
For some reason "Not Available" by "The Residents" gets me really sad, but it's not a sad album at all.

"The Wall" and "John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band" are some of the saddest albums I've ever heard (I know, not too original choices). They also happen to be real albums. The problem about finding sad albums is that nearly all albums have happier songs to spoil it. _________________ "The Beatles, the greatest band known to mankind." - Bismah Mughal

I agree with those two whole-heartedly.

This strikes me as an odd choice. I find it extremely uplifting. Emotional, yes, but sad?

I find Wish You Were Here much sadder than DSOTM.
