The Music based bucket list...
Another thread about never having listened to the Beatles got me thinking about all those things I want to achieve musically before I croak. I also wondered what else people would put on their music themed bucket list...
What are those things you want to do or listen to or own musically speaking before you die?

And to start us off, here are mine...
1. Complete my Factory Records collection (as far as is physically possible considering they labelled buildings cats and staplers)... currently working on acquiring FAC 5, FAC 11 and FACT 30
2. Have sex with Mac McCulloch (its the lips!)
3. Perform at Ronnie Scotts
4. Perfect a Soul Boy backdrop before my hips finally give out.
5. Spend an evening getting drunk and talking music with purple and CellarDoor
6. Own my very own record shop
7. (related to the above) own my very own music venue.
8. Be Magenta for real on stage
9. Publish my memoirs posthumously (but get them written before I die - anyone interested in being my ghost writer?)
10. Discover a 'Scandanavian Twee Death Metal' band

1. Form a band, write my own music, and play music for as many people as possible, for as cheap as possible.
2. Rather than listen to thousands and thousands of different albums I want to find a solid thousand that I truly love, and spend my life delving deep into them, getting to know everything about them.
3. I want to play guitar so beautifully, that just the sweet sound of what I'm playing makes me cry.
4. See Metallica live, simply because I grew up on them and were probably the most instrumental band in forming my taste in music.
5. Stage-dive.
6. I'd also like to own my own record store. _________________

1. Form a band, and be their official songwriter/back-up instrument guy.
2. Make a couple of good albums.
3. Write a rock opera based on the Holy Bible.
4. Write a song that in a way revives the old Black Sabbath style of music. This is what I hope I can do with my song Back Up the Drain.
5. Write the score to a film.
6. Be able to dance EXACTLY like Steven Tyler, but not look like him. He looks like what would happen if Michael Jackson and Ceaser from Planet of the Apes had a baby.

I wouldn't want anyone other than you to be in charge of writing this. _________________

I think I am more suited as I (think anyway) have read much more about the band at the time. Although I don't think I could even do it justice.
Anyway... working on a list! I'll put up something if anything soon I'll just make up things and set out to do them.

I think this is sarcasm. But if it's not, why would you WANT me in charge if it?

Start an Experimental Freakout Noise Pop band, in the vain of a combination of "On Avery Island" era NMH and "Strawberry Jam" era Animal Collective.

I don't think he was referring to Manic Street Preachers lol.

I'm pretty sure JMan is referring to the book, The Holy Bible, rather than the album. In fact, I'd be surprised if JMan has ever even heard of that album before. _________________
