Well, just like most of the campaign promises (lies) Obama instead of cutting the deficit in half like he "promised" the people of the United States during his rah rah "yes we can " campaign. He has increased it by 300%. Hello, are you socialists getting this? Do you like Obummer putting your children's children in debt? Well, that is exactly what he is doing. Yes we can all right. Yes we can spend the hard earned money of people who haven't even been born yet. And for what may I ask? No more blaming Bush. That just isn't going to get it anymore. No more blaming Republicans either. Take a GOOD LOOK at the Federal Budget of Barak Hussein Obama's for 2011. This is HIS budget. Not Bushes, not anyone elses but Obama's budget. How much of the people's money (which most people can't spare anymore) is Obama going to spend, just for the Federal Government.

That is 3.8 TRILLION dollars. For just one year to run his Federal Government. Now, for those of you who have not been paying attention.

But Barak Hussein Obama (born in Kenya) wants to keep spending MORE MONEY.
Remember people. This is
HIS BUDGET

That is more than 25% of our GDP.

In 1900 we paid only 2.5% of GDP for Federal Government.
This year we will pay 25% of GDP for the Federal Government.
That, along with our state taxes, are over 50% of GDP alone. Not including all the other taxes that are heaped onto the American people who work for their money. Are you tree huggers really O.K. with This? Do you actually enjoy giving most of your hard earned money, and your children's money, and your children's children's money to the government so they can redistribute it as they please? Do you actually enjoy the Federal Government getting involved in every detail, corner, and part of your life and keeping track of everything you have done, are doing, and ever will do? Do you really believe that you are free? Then you are trully a brain dead whimp who thinks that they are free but are really nothing but a slave.

I'd like to pose a question to you, Gary and to any other conservative deficit hawks:

Would you be willing to totally give up your social security (that you paid into your whole life) in order to help cut the deficit? What about medicare? What about the tax cuts that are once again, unsubsidized? What is something that matters to you that the government provides fiscally that you would be willing to sacrifice to reduce the deficit?

This is all I want to know. Feel free to post a long rambling tirade about how Obama single- handedly created the deficit, but I'm only interested in your answer to the question above.

First, can you please not call Shankly a "Socialist". Do you even know what it means?

A definition from the dictionary: a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.

It's definition from Wikipedia: Socialism is an economic and political theory advocating public or common ownership and cooperative management of the means of production and allocation of resources. A socialist society is a social structure organized on the basis of relatively equal power-relations, self-management, dispersed decision-making (adhocracy) and a reduction or elimination of hierarchical and bureaucratic forms of administration and governance; the extent of which varies in different types of socialism. This ranges from the establishment of cooperative management structures in the economy to the abolition of all hierarchical structures in favor of free association.

Socialism is hard to define, the Wikipedia definition sounds libertarian and anarchist and communist to me. To even have a government would be considered socialist, and we can't have a country without a government it would be anarchy. So yes we should ALL be considered socialists for being American citizens because we in theory control the government through voting and paying taxes. There are many different types of socialism, so your inaccurate slur "Socialist" is ignorant.

Secondly, the budget was around that same level in Bush years, were you making a huge deal when he was president???

It is physically impossible to cut the Budget. The only way to cut the budget would be to start eliminating entitlements which have been around since the great depression. For example like Medicare, Veterans Benefits, Medicaid, Food Stamps, Lower Income Housing Assistance, Foster Care, School Lunch, Pensions For Veterans, FWIC, Rural Housing Loans, Veterans Medical Care, Stafford Loans, Pell Grants, Earned Income Tax Credit..... i can probably go on for paragraphs. But it would be impossible to cut all of the entitlements at once, there would be mass rioting not only from ignorant poor people, but by educated "tree huggers" too.

And that is only entitlements, the Military budget is currently at 1.35 trillion! that is over a third of all spending. Not only does the military provide hundreds of thousands of jobs, no politician would dare touch it or cut its budget. That would be political suicide. And imagine if the budget for military was cut along with entitlement cuts, that would then add all of the military families and soldiers who won't be needed anymore to the mass rioting.

There is just no way to cut the budget right now Gary. Everyone is already feeling the pinch from the economy going sour, do you really want something like Egypt to happen, because if you do then seriously cutting the budget to balance the books looks like the way to go.
