Wow Hayden, the album was great.I loved every second of it,you created some great atmospheres, had me hooked throughout and the production is swagged out.I didn't really like the singing though,it's just not my thing, but it wont stop me from playing it again.Keep up the good work fam, looking forward to listening to the EP.

Nice Nick Cave impersonation on "Colossal Youth, Pt. II" Wink

Seriously though it's a very pretty album. Nice "red wine / Tindersticks / cut my wrists" feel to it.

I'm not a huge fan of how you mixed the vocals (too muffled, sometimes too much delay), but the rest of the production for the guitar sound is great (you'll love Roy Montgomery).

I'll certainly come back to it Very Happy

Thanks Smile 'swagged out production' is always a good thing Cool And understandable about the vocals.. when I was making it, I knew it wouldn't be everyone's thing. But I'm glad you liked it Smile So far, feedback has been fairly positive.

Yeah. There's a bit of Nick Cave throughout the album Wink "Colossal Youth' was obviously named after the Young Marble Giants album though. It wasn't actually what the song was originally called, but I liked the change Cool

And Roy Montgomery is the guitarist from Hash Jar Tempo Right? I haven't heard any of his solo stuff... I guess I should do that.

Yep Hash Jar Tempo and Dadamah.

I would highly recommend :

A masterpiece (a psychedelic John Fahey) :

Temple IV by Roy Montgomery

and

This Is Not A Dream by Dadamah

+

And Now The Rain Sounds Like Life Is Fa...Montgomery

About half way through it, it's really very good, and yes, I agree with Cellar that the vocals are too low in the mix, otherwise it shows a hell of a lot of promise, and will probably end up near the top of my 2013 year chart Smile

Gotcha. Well good bloody job you novice, you! Do you play anything more fluently than guitar? You certainly picked up modes well for nothing about them Wink

Saxophone probably. But I've been getting better at guitar over time Smile I haven't taken any sort of lesson yet... so I plan to start actually learning guitar later this year. Maybe with a few jazz courses or something similar. Or just basic lessons. Thanks though Smile

Missed this. Thanks Joy Smile I've had a few comments on the vocal-mix, some positive, some negative... so I'm not really sure what the consensus is Confused But I liked it Mr. Green
