Everyone loves trivia, even the people who don't. In this thread you can list all the trivia you want.

After Nirvana covered The Man Who Sold The World at Unplugged, David Bowie would perform it and get people saying 'It's cool you're doing a Nirvana song.'

In school, John Lennon was told by his English teacher that he would never become anything and that he was dumb. When he later heard that his old teacher analyzed his lyrics, he wrote a complete nonsense song just to annoy him. The song was 'I Am The Walrus' _________________ One thing I can tell you is you've got to be free

R.E.M. trivia - On Dead Letter Office, the song Voice of Harold uses the backing track as 7 Chinese Bros. from Reckoning and for the lyrics Michael sings the liner notes of the gospel album The Joy Of Knowing Jesus by The Revelaires.
