Some great tracks including; Rudie Can't Fail, Spanish Bombs, Lost in the Supermarket, Guns of Brixton, Revolution Rock, and of Course Train In Vain. Not a fan overall though.

Also, I would like Wrong Em Boyo a lot more if the 25 or so second intro was how the entire song sounded.

This ranking system is fact, don't question it.

first. let's pretend Cut The Crap didn't happen. I don't want to think about it. But no way in hell is London Calling their 4th best.

I personally rank them:
London Calling > Sandinista! > Combat Rock > Give 'Em Enough Rope > The Clash >>>>>>>>>>>album that shall not be remembered.

not to raise this issue again, but if Sandinista! had a few songs left out, I think it might've been better. I don't understand why Combat Rock always gets tossed away.

It suffers from being too long, but it's a brilliant album nonetheless. There are very few weak tracks (I have to agree with whoever said "Lost in the Supermarket" is not a very good song), but the highlights more than make up for it ("Death or Glory", "London Calling", "Clampdown", "Spanish Bombs", etc.).

Yeah, and "Lost in The Supermarket" is a great song. Such a beautiful and perhaps naive metaphor for life and the outlook of a young person. And I love the sorta disco feel to the track. Doesn't take itself too seriously. It's a really really good song.

It's a pretty nice album. Used to be on my chart, but really repeated listens didn't help, but I still like this album. Of course, I think there's definitely better punk albums our there, but as always, I love the energy that comes with any punk album and this is definitely energetic.

I tend to agree these days. There was a time when I thought London Calling was there best, but I was wrong.
