It was a family tradition when I was between about 8 and 9 that my brother, my dad and I would watch an episode of Seinfeld - I think it taught me a lot about humour at such a young age for what is a fairly intelligent show.
Seinfeld probably stands as my favourite comedian, probably because he was enshrined into my head back then, but watching it back his subtle, calm humour that doesn't rely on offense is admirable.
But I agree with you, guys like Bigard or Dubosc and most of the others are such unfunny jerks ...
