music isn't magic. it might be accident or magnificently composed. This album is as irascible as the rumors of Mingus suggest. Absolute jazz perfection and imo only surpassed by the jazz theory exercised in Kind Of Blue.

Jazz doesn't get much better than this. Literally.

Also it stands as my favourite album cover of any album, as a piece of design it's at least 20 years ahead of its time.

Actually, a pretty good album though not my favorite in the genre of jazz. Probably would be in my top 50 in that genre.
