Charts Not Updating?

Recently I've been noticing that, every now and then, I'll update my chart and then look at it later only to find that it hasn't been updated. I change my overall, decade, and year charts fairly frequently, so maybe the system can only register so many updates in a certain period of time? Is there any other reason this would happen?
