honestly this decade has not been very good compared to any other decade after 1950.
Top 5:

1. In Rainbows--radiohead
2. Parachuttes--coldplay
3. Absolution-muse
4. Elephant-white stripes
5. Favorite worst nightmare--arctic monkeys

I need to listen to Arcade Fire and the liberteens and revise this pathetic attempt at a list.

If you're looking for some excellent 21st century albums, then I highly recommend you take a peak at TheTourist's (a user on this site) top 20 albums.

I admit to knowing almost nothing about recent music. I just don't pay attention to it at all.

Some of my faves from this century...
1. The Good, The Bad, and the Queen - The Good, The Bad, and the Queen
2. Strawberry Jam - Animal Collective
3. Beck
4. The Stage Names - Animal Collective
5. Live in Japan - The Microphones
6. Jason Webley - He is an incredible folksey artist, have to check him out.
7. Dog Problems - The Format (it's pop, but it's incredible!)
8. Streetcore - Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros (RIP Joe)
9. Boy in Da Corner - Dizzee Rascal (Hilarious Brit Hiphop)
10. Quality Control - Jurassic 5 (Best Rap group from the West Coast. Period.)
11. The Black Keys (LoFi Blues Duo- Better than the White Stripes)
12. Somewhat disputable - Favourite Worst Nightmare - The Arctic Monkeys

That's what I got- I'm working on it, it's incredible how hard it is to dig into music these days.
