Hadn't heard this one before coming to BEA. I didn't like it at first but after a few listens it's okay. Not sure why all the hype but maybe it'll grow on me some more.

It's pretty good. Something about it though doesn't fully click with me. It's probably just the aesthetics of it. Maybe with a few more listens I'll really warm up to it. _________________

Excellent record. Melodyland, with attitude and sound to boot. I was around when it was released, and frankly, we were all crazy about it.

I Wanna Be Adored and I Am The Resurrection are two of my favorite songs ever. The whole album is very good.

I love this album. It was my guitar teacher's favourite, so I was sort of forced to learn like half the songs. Those memories stick with you I guess (even if how to play the songs doesn't; c'est la vie). But yeah, a really great pop record. It probably doesn't need to be said, but 'I Am The Resurrection' is incredible. 'Elizabeth My Dear' is really awful though, perhaps the song I've skipped most in my life, outside of skits and intros. TBH, I'm a bit of a sucker for good jangle pop, and I especially like their particular brand of jangle-pop-with-oodles-of-attitude. Anyone that hasn't heard it should check out 'Sally Cinnamon', one of their earlier singles and easily my favourite song of theirs. It's just a perfect slice of pop music.

It's quite good. I used to love it a lot more than I do now, but that's not to say it's bad. I have to agree with lethal that "Elizabeth My Dear" is a steaming pile of dogshit, but the higlights ("I Wanna Be Adored", "Waterfall", "Made of Stone", "I Am the Resurrection") are excellent.
