The only time I've ever really thought about it is there's a really annoying two-song sequence on this metal album I have, and I can tell that the songs are supposed to merge, but there's still that like 1 second break that just annoys the crap out of me. I've tried changing all my iTunes setting for those songs to fix the problem but nothing has worked. Other than that the only time I really take note of silence is if it's used as part of the song, you know, like using silence musically, and also I take note of songs that fade out into silence and songs that have clear endings. _________________

the only thing I can think of to fix that issue is to exploit music editing software. you can cut the silent samples out and combine the two songs using a crossfade so that there's no "POP!" sound at the transition point. but I don't know something that's open-source and powerful enough to do that. maybe try audacity? _________________ <--suddenly...Bora!

it depends.. some alums have certain songs that flow perfectly into one another on purpose, while (most) others have a bit of intended breaks in them.. _________________ I love songs with Beep Boops

Thanks for the tips, but I'm just god-awful with technology so everything you just said is another language to me. I'll just put up with it. _________________
