I call dibs on Spirit of Eden (since purple wants to pick Laughing Stock) or maybe ( ) or The Tired Sounds of Stars of the Lid. But I think the idea will work better if each member could choose like 10 albums (even 10 is not enough) and other members had the right to refuse it so if any album got refused three times then it would be discarded.

I doubt the 3 refusal idea would work, no albums would be included at all, I would be surprised if there isn't an album that at least 3 users dislike.

The site doesn't have that many active and limiting each person to 1 will quickly eliminate a lot of the active users. I would suggest keeping the limiting one person to an album, but allow a person to do as many as they want. Just an idea, cause this is something I would actually like to see continue. |
This.
Anyway, I don't think I can really participate in this because choosing one album that mean the most to you out of all the albums you've listened to (ie If You're Feeling Sinister, Pink Moon or Ágætis Byrjun) is too hard for me. _________________

could work, I was thinking maybe each user would be allowed say max 2 refusals, and the album in question would need 3 refusals total from 3 separate members.
Otherwise Oasis, Coldplay, U2 etc will get chastised. (Deservedly of course, just seems unfair I think)

Think I'll nominate The Smiths' self titled. Not gonna say exactly why it means so much to me but it helped me out in an important part of my life when I wasn't especially happy and helped give me a different outlook on certain things in my life. Still the album I go back to whenever I'm down (not often these days, thankfully) because it really picks me up and makes me feel better about whatever situation.
Ha, I don't know if that sounded really dumb but it's the truth. _________________ Shut up mate you're boring!

God, narrowing it down to one is extremely difficult. I understand there'll probably be scope for more entries after everybody's offered one up, but to start I'll go with Gregory Isaacs' More Gregory.
