2013 Album Listening Club (UPDATED!!!)

Hello friends. The torch has been passed on. I will be running the club from now until I pass on the torch to some lucky hopeful. I am starting this new thread so I can edit and keep track of selections and members who have already had their turn.

1.) As before, the member selected will post the album of their choice released sometime this year in a brand new thread. (Not by me.. cough cough Jman)

2.) It's not too late to join! If you're interested in having an album of your choice listened to and reviewed by this brilliant group of people, comment in this thread and you're name will be added to this list.

3.) By request, this club will begin to conducted semiweekly (not to be confused with biweekly). I believe Friday is the best choice for the 2nd day so that we as a group have a full weekend to listen and comment on the new album. It like there will be a weekday album and a weekend album.

4.) As was also mentioned, we as a group cannot let these recommendations become like the World Album of the Day, where there are only one or two posts. Let's all have great discussions and state our wonderful opinions of beautiful albums.

5.) Whichever member makes the recommendations on Monday or Friday, make sure you choose the next member (randomly of course) and let them know through private message as soon as possible (that same Monday or Friday would be optimal) so that that new member has enough time to find a good album to present. Also remember to PM me, tbakeman, as well with who you chose so that I know who to hunt down if they are slow to post their choice of album.

6.) I think we should also have a fail safe if a member forgets to post their album. When chosen, try your hardest to post your album as soon as possible Monday or Friday since there are so many of us looking forward to it. I know it can be difficult though since our members are spread across the world to coordinate a deadline. I'm saying if the album isn't posted by 11 pm Eastern Standard Time, I will go ahead and post one myself.

7.) As before, the 2013 album does not have to be totally unknown, but also should not be something most members would listen to anyway (e.g. Yeezus or Random Access Memories)

8.) The next ALC will be on Monday July 22nd. The first Friday ALC will be on July 26th

9.) Be sure to let me know of any comments, concerns or suggestions! This is still a community project!

10.) Let's all give our praise to DLGGLD for coming up with this great idea!
