All right everyone, bow down for the most atmospheric album known to man.
Feels like you're really in some medieval cathedral, while the world goes to shit outside (black plague?). Le Petit Chevalier exemplifies that the most, where her son is singing...The intro to Abschied is the most beautiful thing in the world...The Falconer displays her heartstopping voice...I just named my three favourite tracks, but this whole thing is incredible, no one needs to miss this experience. I find that albums can be so different from one another and give experiences that are individual and unmatched...Yet only a few ever really get that down, y'know? A lot of the "Scaruffi" albums, I find are like that, Rock Bottom by Robert Wyatt is another good album like that. Say what you want about Scaruffi, he has good taste and isn't a bad place to look for those really individual, striking albums that are so rare.
