THE SMITHS!!! Who doesn't love The Smiths? I mean, aside from their detractors. Anyhow, this is a solid debut from one of the best bands ever!!!

This is a weird category to throw it in, but this is probably my favorite eponymous album. Maybe ATE. (I also don't count The White Album). Point is, it's very, very good. _________________

Excellent record, both brilliant and grim (those lyrics!), very classical and yet daring (that falsetto on "Miserable Lie"!). "Hand In Glove" is better with the harmonica than without.
