It's alright, but it's a bit Mom-Rock.

She's Always A Woman is easily the standout track.

I dig "Movin' Out" and "Only the Good Die Young". The rest is just kind of meh. Not bad by any means, but nothing to grab your attention.

I've decided. I'm getting rid of Billy Joel's Greatest Hits Volume I and II, and replacing it with the Stranger and An Innocent Man. Those are the only two albums you really need.

Agree completely with this. Although Movin' Out is a good song too.

Billy Joel was always Elton John lite...a piano guy with a bunch of mostly annoying hit singles and more album filler than Paul McCartney. Whoever said "mom rock" was dead on. Billy Joel made a career out of sappy, overly earnest ballads ("Just The Way You Are", "She's Always A Woman", "She's Got A Way"), pompous, overblown attempts to rock ("Movin' Out", "Big Shot", "You May Be Right") and downright ridiculousness ("Scenes From An Italian Restaurant", "Piano Man" and "We Didn't Start The Fire"). Remember...Paul was a real estate novelist (?), and the point where Billy couldn't take the history of the 20th century any more was...

Cola wars.

A handful of quality songs, more on this album than any of his others. In my opinion, a highly overvalued artist and career.

Ah, nothing like a Billy Joel album to divide a room in half. Personally, I dig songs that play out like a short story, so I am a sucker for this guy. He's got his nice ballads ("She's Always a Woman") and he's got his prog-piano ("Scenes From an Italian Restaurant") but they're all tidy little tales. And this particular album is 56% hits! Gotta love it.

Because I'm dumb and curious: what does this even mean, and how did you calculate it? I'd love to know
