I love you. Cool This for sure.

But yeah, Fever Ray is like the perfect balance of atmosphere and engaging-ness-ness. Love it. I wrote a bunch about it when it was album of the day one time, I think. I guess it was World album of the day. Hm.

Yes! The use of that song in that scene was perfect.

I went ahead and found what I wrote about it (Fever Ray) when it was world album of the day. Not that it needs promoting.

"I described it on my chart as "A cold sterile dark world full of purpose. In essence, the opposite of Earth. Much better, I could stay for a while."

It is the perfect balance between atmospheric and engaging...It is very forward and far from resigned, but it is absolutely drenched in this perfect pitch black coldness. This album is like getting a pep talk from an ancient sea creature or space alien or Cthulu (somehow don't think it'd give great pep talks, but if that eldritch terror beyond human knowledge did, it might sound like this) or something.

I also like Outlaw's comment, "The musical equivalent of a sprawling blackened mirror world. Pure fantasy of the highest order and a must have if you want something more than a few people playing instruments and singing songs. An experience rather than music."

"Sprawling blackened mirror world" is the perfect way to describe this.

Oh, also, I think I described it too inhuman...It still has a very human vibe thingy, Karin what's-her-last-name is just stuck in a "Sprawling blackened mirror world" or something. XD Like she was kidnapped and trapped there....and her soul was stolen too! XD I can keep going on and on about this album forever. Every song on this thing affects me in some way..."Keep The Streets Empty For Me", "Dry and Dusty", and "Coconut" are probably highlights, along with "If I Had A Heart" and "When I Grow Up". If I Had A Heart was so awesome in Breaking Bad, I freaked out when I heard it, I love Jesse. <3 And you know, the darkness isn't ubiquitous. "Now's The Only Time I Know" is another highlight...And it is so fucking motivating. Same with "I'm Not Done"
This is serial killer music...It feels dead and cold and yet is pulsing with action and motivation. Very Happy Lol, I just love this album so fucking much. I feel like it should go even higher on my chart."

Listened to both albums once since I saw this matchup open.

Cannot choose. Fever Ray was better than I expected, as was Cranberries. I guess Dolores' voice in the Cranberries can be grating, but I am leaning towards that.

Argh! Might abstain.
