I'm interested in knowing some albums which exemplify the subject of love more so than others. What are the greatest love albums of all time. Heart wrenching, emotion pulling, tear dropping albums.

Personally, I think that Pinkerton does a great job at just that.

I'm gonna go for a curveball and say Game, Dames and Guitar Thangs by Eddie Hazel. Listen to it and you'll know what I mean immediately.

Ellipse by Imogen Heap. Really good depiction of heart ache and shyness IMO.

Youkoso! Hitori Bocchi, is a really good song, especially if you know Japanese/look up the lyrics.

As, Mr Shankly said, Al Green, Aretha Franklin, but add Sam Cooke and The Four Tops to that list

The Album "Firsts Days Of Spring" by Noah & The Whale, I feel is a very moving album, as is Little Earthquakes, Pet Sounds, Nebraska is very moving,
and In The Aeroplane over the sea

I know you guys aren't going to like this but I would say that "The Wedding Album" by Leon and Mary Russell is the most romantic album I can think of, it is on my top 50 buy is no longer available so you can't listen to unfortunately....Every song is an expression of their love for each other, something very rare in pop/rock history.

spiritualized's 'ladies and gentlemen...' is an album dedicated to heartbreak. some great songs about heartbreak that come to mind include joy division's 'love will only tear us apart,' nirvana's 'heart shaped box,' and the beatles' 'for no one.' oh yeah, lcd soundsystem's got all i want, someone great, and i can change... everyone decent has a decent love song, though this field is definitely dominated by the beatles
