How big is it, how is it stored, and did you get it legally?

Personally, I love Itunes. I've been a total addict for more than four years now, and have a little over 6K songs (almost 40GB) on it, most of them being in 256Kb AAC format. These include:
*Rips of most of my vinyls
*All of my 150+ CD's
*About 150+ Downloaded Albums (LEGALLY)
*Probably about 200-300 individual digital singles.

I have this backed up on an 80GB Ipod Classic, which is great for listening to whole albums in the car without worrying about getting CD's scratched (I only use the latter on my hi-fi setup downstairs). On my Iphone, I have my "favorite songs", which, because of Itunes' new sync-compression feature, hardly take up 3GB for 500 songs.

All my music is correctly tagged with the correct information, and has great album art.

Fun Facts About My Library:
*I have about 220 songs (1.5GB) of Tori Amos stuff
*I have 400+ Christian songs.
*When I find out that a song of mine has swearing, I try to remove it immediately Surprised
___________
Okay, that's enough about my digital library. What about yours?

22.4GB but that's roughly 20% of all the cds I own. I have been deleting a lot and putting it onto mp3 that no longer work and essential become extra spaces to store music.

I listen to cds using the cd player in my room nowadays because my computer is down stairs. But when i'm on that I have windows media player which has a great library.

Some big numbers:
402 songs Manic Street Preachers (I'm pretty sure there are some duplicates though)
223 songs Sparks
189 songs R.E.M.
189 songs The Prodigy
188 songs Rush
164 songs Kate Bush

Don't know for sure, I guess roughly 20GB.

I also have an iPod Classic 80GB. Got 3,554 tracks on it - some are inadvertant duplicates, but that shouldn't be too many.

Has all of my 300+ (probably closer to 350 now) CDs.
Does not include several cassettes/vinyl albums that I'd LIKE to have on it
Includes by now 2 or 3 hundred downloaded songs - almost all legally. Might be a couple of dubious character, I don't know. The vast majority came from iTunes, though, with a few that came with a free trial of eMusic.

Can't give you a breakdown by artist, though. The artists that would top that list however are:
Jesus Jones
Catherine Wheel/Rob Dickinson
Grant Lee Buffalo/Grant-Lee Phillips
Depeche Mode
Placebo
Blur

and now Muse is getting up there (3 albums + a few downloaded tracks).

Heck with it, I can find Yoshimi in the album list again later:
Blur - 75 tracks
Catherine Wheel - 73 tracks + 14 by lead singer Rob Dickinson
Depeche Mode - 158 tracks + 11 by Dave Gahan and 12 by Martin Gore
Garbage - 66 tracks
Grant Lee Buffalo - 63 tracks + 50 tracks by lead singer Grant-Lee Phillips
Jesus Jones - 103 tracks
Matthew Sweet - 118 tracks
Nine Inch Nails - 67 tracks, 4 or 5 of which I actually listen to
Pavement - 56 tracks
Placebo - 132 tracks
R.E.M. - 71 tracks (they're actually on there 3 times, though, so it's 191 until I can fix that)
Smashing Pumpkins - 105 tracks
U2 - 62 tracks

My digital library is about 31GB (the whole perfectly classified in WMP)....

...but the share of the highest rated songs (4/4) represents only 5%, which mean that i have to listen, in general, to 20 songs to find an excellent one.

My music library 110 gb
938 albums but I don't put them all in iTunes.

iTunes Library is 77 gb
420 artists
720 albums
no single tracks

Pink Floyd - 15
Beatles - 7
Moody Blues - 7
Radiohead - 5
Muse - 5

I use iTunes on my computer. All music is on the hard drive. I also backup to an external drive regularly. All albums are complete and tagged. Most are 320 Kb. I also have all the album art. I throw away all the liner notes. I wear pretty good noise cancelling headphones most of the time. My computer is also connected to my stereo and TV.

Ned Flanders can listen to NIN and Megadeth too. As long as it's the radio edit gospel versions.
