I'm pretty close to what i think will be my final chart for my 2013 yearly chart, especially the top 8. Looking at the new music release schedule, there isn't much left that i think will make a huge impact. Of course, after various online publications come out with their "best ofs" in the next month, i'll hunt down some that catch my eye. I will probably also give some albums another shot (like i did Savages).

What's your story?

Yes, most albums/artists take time to spread and become widely recognized.

Edit: Also, yes for pretty much all of the first 4 options.

I'm backed up with uni work at the moment so I'm not listening to music much (Yet I'm still on BEA... Brick wall ), so basically I've gathered a pick pile of albums I've yet to hear and won't till my Christmas holidays, I'm looking forward to it immensely though. My 2013 chart is currently 80 albums in size, I'll probably be listening to albums constantly around Christmas so I imagine I'll find enough I like to bump it up to 100 by the end of the year.

It's already changed twice in the past week. It will likely look totally different come 12/31/13

There's not too many albums that i'm looking forward to between now and the end of the year, but they'll still be dozens that come out that I just didn't know about that I'll like, saying that your chart is frozen till the end of the year doesn't really make sense to me. Plus I always find a couple albums that slipped through the cracks on end of year lists, not to mention stuff on other users 2013 charts that I want to listen to.

I've found many great albums from 2012 this year so I think my chart will always change and drastically.

Same here, I've found a ton of great 2012 albums this year but not nearly as much 2013 albums.

The first and third options definitely apply to me, as does the second to a lesser degree. Also, my 2013 chart desperately needs updating anyway.

That last option, which i voted for, could easily be "No, I'm pretty sure what my 2013 favs are now (but i'll probably be wrong come the new year)". I've listened to a lot of 2013 music (there's probably 2 albums that i've heard and didn't like enough to keep around for every 1 on my chart), and am pretty sure i've covered all the heavy hitters, but there's always some pleasant surprise that pops out of nowhere. If anything sways my opinion significantly, it'll be albums i look into that appear on online end-of-year charts as well as BEA charts for 2013.

While I don't believe my chart will change, I do need to catch up. At one point I listened to 2013 and followed it as closely as I could, but after a while, I just stopped doing that and evetually started listening to just albums I already loved. It's been a little while since I listened to a new 2013 album.
