Probably their best record, but I can't help but feel it's missing something that I like about Return to Cookie Mountain because I happen to listen to that record more than this one. Not quite sure what that means/is.

I just tend to think Return To Cookie Mountain is better, and that's no insult to Dear Science, which is also fantastic. Honestly, TV On The Radio have yet to make anything close to a bad album, so it could really go any way with choosing a best among them. I do know what you mean by Return To Cookie Mountain having a certain feel to it that Dear Science doesn't, maybe that of a band still having something to prove to the world, maybe a more focused, frenzied energy. I can't say for sure, but I think both are fantastic albums, and both have songs that stand among some of my favorites of the 00s.

It's fantastic, and used to be on my chart. Really amazing songwriting here.

I've probably said this all somewhere before but:
Desperate Youth is their best easily, and each album following is slightly worse. No bad albums yet though.
I think this isn't quite as interesting as previous albums because despite lots of catchiness there is 1.less vocal harmonies 2.less cool slick guitar distortion and 3. the odd annoying thing in the arrangements, ie. the shouts in the the background of one part of Shout Me Out really irritate me.
Lover's Day and Family Tree are the best.

Huh, I just listened to this album not too long ago. Anyway, it's pretty dope, even if there's nothing on here on par with "Wolf like Me".

Is it solipsistic in here or is it just me?
