First impression after two listens. I don't care for Terrible Love but really like everything that follows.
Update: I like everything on this album including Terrible Love. One of my faves of 2010 so far.

I accidentally read "preview the new national anthem"... the czar strangled banter!

I liked the article, but I'm not sure how I feel about the National anymore. They do one or two things for me, and they do those things very well. They capture this very adult, very masculine sounding melancholy- and at its best it really freezes time. But after so much of it- especially what, five albums, it just make me want to listen to "Secret Garden" by Bruce.
