Day off, so:

1) Ajnabi - Ajnabi
2) Cover Versions - Andrew Pekler
3) Tomorrow's Harvest - Boards of Canada
4) Ladders - Cassini Meet Saturn
5 through 7) Monomania - Deerhunter x3
Cool The Terror - Flaming Lips
9, 10) Holy Fire - Foals
11) II - FoIIakzoid
12) Time Is A Machine - Listener
13) sky burial - Rice Cultivation Society
14) Cold Spring Fault Less Youth - Mount Kimbie

And also listened to certain Supertramp and Fleet Foxes songs for at least 50 times on account of trying to make covers.

Now I'm gonna put Set Fire To Flames on and go to sleep.

I got through about 7-ish new albums today including Torres - Torres, Kelela - CUT 4 ME, These New Puritans - Field Of Reeds, suicideyear - Japan, Finland Oranssi Pazuzu - Valonielu, and a bunch of others including a few I decided not to finish. I've been listening to a lot more albums recently since the end-of-year lists are starting to come out. A lot of the aforementioned albums got on my 2013 chart.

During school days, I'll often listen to one or two albums a day, one being what I hear on the way to and from school. I try to listen to a new album every day.

When I've got nothing to do though (or a lot of design work), that number could hit the 10 mark. Don't think I've ever heard more than 3 new albums in a day, which is my target over the holidays.

Always healthy to hear new music, but it's certainly more uplifting for the soul to hear some old favourites.

On workdays only 2-3. On the weekend a bit more, 4-5/ day. Wish I could do more but if I listen to music I like to concentrate on it, sitting at my computer/on my bed listening to it with headphones and not listen to it like some background music.

How did you like it? First listen, I was kind of bored, but I assume it's a slow burner. Gonna need to relisten.

My numbers totally vary based on work. My job is pretty independent, so i'm usually able to put on my headphones and work for 8 straight hours, so I'll soak in quite a few records on a normal day. Listening to 1 or 2 when I get home as well, depending on whether it's a night in, so 10+ is pretty normal.

It's 12:37 today, and I'm working on writing my year end list. So far I've listened to:
Laurel Halo - Chance of Rain
Savages - Silence Yourself
Shilpa Ray - It's All Self Fellatio
Sigur Ros - Kveikur
Mazzy Star - Seasons Of Your Day

all relistens so far.

Today I listened to Rival Dealer 3 times. One of them in a seminar about SQUIDs. It was so boring (not in the sense that "oh, what is this shit about, I don't wanna hear about it; but in the sense that "oh this girl don't know how to do this and she's clearly not prepared and speaks in a monotone and quiet voice and it makes me drowsy." Just to make clear that I'm not that guy). So I started imagining a whole scenario about how I give the girl a bloody nose and break the projector on her head and stuff like that. Instead I opted for listening to music. Then I listened to the first CD of Balance 005 by James Holden. A gift from heaven truly. Last thing that I listened to was an old favorite, All the Pretty Little Horses by Current 93.

... Think

That's like..what, 7 hours of music right there? And then 7 other albums? Confused Are you listening to the entire thing?

I'm not sitting in front of it meditating. I had these queued up and playing through since I woke up this morning.

Reflektor
Modern Vampires of the City
Red Hot Chili Peppers - By the Way
Paramore - Paramore
Simple Minds - Street Fighting Years (underrated album!)

Edit: A question for those who listen to 5-10 new albums a day, how many times do you relisten to an album usually?
