It is probably safe to assume most people have listened to most albums in their collection at least once. Can we make it less time consumming by automatically including all albums in a collection also as listened? For those rare situations when not true, a member can always remove an album from listened. _________________ Top 100 Greatest Music Albums by RFNAPLES

Yes, that's a good idea - we'll implement that in the next few days. The functionality is very new and we expected to make a few tweaks to help it settle in once we got some feedback from people using it.
We also considered removing the 'listened' list entirely and just having collections, but some people download, listen & delete, or just borrow & listen from libraries/friends (but still need a way of tracking).

I disagree. I have some 3,500 albums in my bookshelf and I bet there are over 500 of them that I have never really listened to. I may have heard some songs from some of them or had it on in the background or in some cases never heard anything at all. (Mathematically it would be faster, of course, to remove those 500 than to add the other 3,000 so it might not be that bad an idea after all).
I do, however, think it is safe to assume that you have listened to anything you have either rated or put in your favorites, so that could be auto-added.

Another thing I noticed. I went through the whole overall chart and added to my collection. There are still around 100 that I don't own, but at the main page it shows -55.

Probably several of them. Don't you ever walk by a record store, browse through the discount rack and find a dozen albums or so that you want, pick them up and bring them home to that big pile of records you picked up last time and will not likely get around to listening to in any near future?
Anyway, I realized why the statistics on the overall chart page give you a negative figure on albums in your collection. There are in reality more than 500 albums on that list and it checks all of them, then deducts that figure from 500. It should just check the first 50 pages of that list or it will be wrong.

Good spot Bork, I think this is now fixed (just uploaded a patch).
