If all the music in the world were eradicated, except for 10 albums, would you choose the same top ten albums from your 'greatest all time' list?
Do not consider stipulations like feeling sorry for other people who have to listen to your music. It's okay to consider music you like to listen to with company.
The reason I ask is because this is how I formed my list. Not with a real order in mind, but just with variety and stuff I think I could enjoy for a long time. I dunno if that is the same as being the greatest albums of all time, but in my opinion that makes them my most valuable albums.
Only ten albums. Maybe I'd exchange just one for Abbey Road (no, not really; all my favourite Beatles songs are spread across different albums).
1. Manic Street Preachers - Forever Delayed
2. Kate Bush - The Whole Story
3. Kate Bush - The Dreaming (Only for Suspended In Gaffa)
4. Manic Street Preachers - Journal For Plague Lovers
5. Guns N Roses - Appetite For Destruction
6. Bruce Springsteen - The Rising
7. Dead Kennedys - Plastic Surgery Disasters
8. Sparks - Big Beat
9. Tasmin Archer - Great Expectations
10. Stiff Little Fingers - Inflammable Material
The Clash sort of lost out there But it won't be all that bad
