What do we define as a Bill Evans solo album? Because he has albums as both Bill Evans and Bill Evans Trio. Would Bill Evans Trio albums count?

Fela. And I'll continue to vote the same until he goes out or meets Ghostface/Prince.

Fela. Not one bad record that I know of and the sexiest funkiest sound you'll ever listen to this side of James Brown (an obvious influence), to trancey proportions.

Still need to explore more of Fela. Bill Evans' work is a mixed bag for me, but I highly recommend

Conversations With Myself by Bill Evans

Gorgeous piano jazz.

Gorgeous piano jazz.

I also love this. It has, perhaps, my favourite Bill Evans song:

I would also recommend (excluding the Waltz for Debby and Sunday At The Village Vanguard, which are both incredible- both being on my chart- but I don't think would qualify for inclusion in this tourney) Moon Beams and Explorations.

Evans has been close to my heart for ages. Only recently been getting into (and immensely enjoying) Fela.

Abstain.
