I like the idea of Marvin at #1 instead of the standard British invasion classic or Dylan. but there's some real head-scratchers also. 2 Oasis albums before Abbey Road? 2 Oasis albums is a problem in itself, but to say 2 of the 21 greatest albums ever made were by Oasis. Wow.

are you being paid or something to advertise this?

I keed, but yeah I don't exactly know why an old list like this specifically needs attention, I guess there are plenty more like these all over the site, I guess a general thread where you can talk about published Greatest Album lists would be more useful (and this list doesn't really offer much that's new or unusual from the standard ilk)

Standard, mostly boring list. Some satisfying inclusions, but nothing shocking or terribly disappointing.

I just feel the other lists are kind of overlooked. I don't like this chart at all, personally. It looks sloppy (and I'm not talking about the punctuation errors from this list I copy-pasted), unorganized, and not very well thought out. What's with all the obscurities I've never even heard of? I think someone just put a chart together hoping it would look new and out-of-this-world. Anyway, that's just my opinion. I want to see other people's thoughts on the forum.

And no, I'm not paid to advertise this. I would if I were paid. Mr. Green

This list made me buy Marvin Gaye's 'What's Going On'. Has anyone else had a time when they were fond of that album?

It's all fairly standard stuff. I mean 'Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band - Trout Mask Replica' is the highest I haven't heard it 49 and number 100 is the only entry I have never heard spoken about regularly on here.

No Manic Street Preachers either.
