The right country music is very cool... I scoff at the assumption that country should be on this list. That said, I'm not really crazy about the idea of this poll in the first place.

Forgot about hair metal. Would have thought pop-punk and post-grunge were the uncoolest, along with maybe any genre that is more single than album-oriented and / or a little bit manufactured (Philly Soul, '90s Eurodance, etc.).
Maybe a thread for 'underdog genres' could follow on from this

When I was in school (again, mid-90s), most electronic music was pretty uncool, in large part due to the many silly things artists did with it in the '80s. Techno was popular in clubs, but serious music lovers didn't listen to it. Now the whole "indietronica" thing has made it cool for hardcore music lovers again, so... no, I wouldn't say it has been cool for thirty years.

Not much talk of psytrance on this forum. Not a bad thing either. Especially uncool. Plain horrible.
From the poll, hair metal I find is gross. That would be the contrary of cool.
Also, neo-medieval death metal Aryan-nostalgia shit I find is very uncool, but obviously not on BEA.
