Hi all,

Kind of in the vein of "most embarrassing chart picks", somewhat-but-not-really, I was wondering what are your least known favorite albums? More specifically, list all the albums in your overall top 100 chart with albums that are present in LESS THAN 10 charts. Here are mine:

#58. Richard Marx - Repeat Offender (7 charts)
#87. The Minus 5 - The Minus 5 (5 charts) (I'm betting many here would dig this.)

I used to have more just a few months ago, like P.M. Dawn and Middle Brother, but it seems you kids continue to explore...

Sorry if we/i've done this before. But i thought it'd be a fun exercise/comparison. And maybe some people might discover some unknown gems this way with all of these mostly-unknown albums all in one place.

Armchair Boogie by Michael Hurley

9 charts. Laid back Americana. One outstanding song and a bunch of other really nice songs. Found it through Norman. <3

The Golden Morning Breaks by Colleen

9 charts. Really light and airy ambient with motherfucking windchimes.

Lookaftering by Vashti Bunyan

8 charts. Don't be a pleb who stops with Just Another Diamond Day. This is just as beautiful, in a different way.

From Gardens Where We Feel Secure by Virginia Astley

8 charts. Pretty pretty ambient pop sort of stuff.

Backwash by Talulah Gosh

7 charts. Wow shocked this isn't on more charts. Absolutely classic twee pop.

7 charts. Beautiful depressive black metal.

The C.D. Version Of The First Two Recor...ikini Kill

7 charts. Dream pop with girly sweet vocals that sound otherworldly and oftentimes quite menacing.

~ by Iamthemorning

6 charts.Kind of neoclassical with gorgeous vocals and a prog touch.

Murmuure by Murmuure

5 charts. Just as much ritual industrial as it is black metal.

Glimmer by Jacaszek

5 charts. Simply the most beautiful ambient record I've ever heard.

Songs by Regina Spektor

4 charts. One of my favourite songwriters, such theatrically quirky music.

Frenching The Bully by The Gits

3 charts. Really wintery black metal.

Mountains by Mary Timony

2 charts. Fairy tale indie rock!

1 chart. Beautiful Irish folk music!

鳥が歌う by kyooo

1 chart. Soft as a whisper! Lovely folk music.

The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion by Jeremy Soule

1 chart. It's a video game soundtrack. Mostly chamber music sort of stuff. Alternates between rollicking tracks for killing mudcrabs and serene tracks for wandering through town.

Troubadour by Dorothy Carter

1 chart. A variety of different folk tunes mostly played on hammered dulcimer.

The Singles by Bikini Kill

1 chart. Self-explanatory, really. XD

The Rabid Whole - Refuge

The least-known album in my chart (#31 currently though it should be closer to #20) is easily this.

Refuge is brilliant and I wrote a 1200-word review for it. It can be streamed from the band's bandcamp page. This is one of my all-time favourite incidental discoveries.
