SSIA... list the differences you notice that are major.

Biggest difference I see is the amount of newer albums on this site. And probably a lot of the differences will be traceable to this fact.

Radiohead gets an insane amount of love on this site. I believe OK Computer was about 160 on the RS list.

I don't think Dylan gets enough love on this site. He gets a better showing from Rolling Stone pretty much across the board. Though it's amazing the order of the albums seem to match up pretty remarkably

Well, that's the beauty of this site. Every chart is different. Try not to tread too much on the overall rankings and try to focus more on your own chart and the charts of other users. Just a word of advice. Also, I notice you're new. Welcome to the site, friend!

Don't obsess too much over lists. I used to do that when I first started getting into music and it really distorted my experience. Lists are good for recommendations, but don't take them as anything more than they are: the opinions of one or a handful of people.

Is it solipsistic in here or is it just me?

I feel like someone should post that in large, bold letters on the front page of the site

Well, there are a number of ways to obsess over lists. We can believe that there's some value in scrutinizing them without being committed to the view that they hold the secret to music. I think it's interesting to compare the BEA and RS lists, but not because I want to establish that one is better than the other, or anything those lines.

This exactly. We can talk about lists without treating them like idols.

Agreed. I'm just tired of hearing about the RS list, lol Laughing

I know what you mean, but honestly, I think this community could learn from it. It's horribly outdated, but touches on a much wider range of music than the BEA list does.
