I liked the hard beats, and production is top-notch - though sparse, but there's always something interesting going on, with even some intriguing avant touches. And I like the rhythm and flow of Jeru's rapping. He has no pretentions, sounds authentic and angry. Very solid east coast hip hop taking the genre in a harder direction. Could have maybe used a bit more variety. Best: "Da Bitchez" - I found this one the most musical and would have liked to hear more like it. (Edited)

Generic. Rap is not my forte, so someone else might think otherwise.
to me this is one of he greatest rap albums of all time. a classic masterpiece of east coast brilliance, underrated record by the masses.
