The artist should probably be listed as "Kathy McCarty" instead of "K. McCarty," despite the cover art. She was in the Austin band Glass Eye before this. This is one of my favorite albums of the 90s and the best recordings of Daniel Johnston songs. She did him and us a big favor by making this record. One of the songs, "Living Life," was used during the closing credits of the Rick Linklater movie "Before Sunrise." (Linklater and McCarty are both from Austin and were creatively active there during the 80s, so maybe they knew each other.)
