Not sure about the comment saying the rapping wasn't that good on here. OC sounds like one of the best ever to me. Apart from his lyrics being great, his voice is crystal clear making ever word stand out. Times up is an absolute classic.

One of the better releases of 1994 in what would become one of the greatest years for hip hop. Smooth Jazz influenced beats come to life as O.C. paints us a picture of his life growing up, and the lives of those with which he grew up. If you enjoy storytelling and jazz hip hop, be sure to give this record a listen.
Favorite tracks: "Time's Up", "Born 2 Live", "Creative Control", "Ma Dukes", "Story", "Born 2 Live [Organized Konfusion Mix]"

I'm surprised this isn't as highly regarded as some of the most popular hip hop albums in history. The jazz hooks here are so juicy. If you like jazzy 90s hip hop, check this out. The rapping itself might not be that fantastic, but the beats are superb.
