Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. Everyone's favourite circular-breathing saxophonist has done it again. Despite the zany cover art, When We Were... is a sombre affair, replete with beautiful drones and spoken word poetry, some of which written by Stetson himself. The five treatments of "The Lighthouse" are especially gorgeous. Stetson is always moving to listen to, but here he does it so gently.
