Overall solid folk album. It wasn't my speed, I'm picky with folk and skew more towards lyrics and voice compared to other genres (which didn't do it much for me on this).
Plutôt un bel album avec parfois des arrangements très réussis.
A slow-burn, methodical, grower of an album and one I’ll be coming back to for sure…
This is a well-crafted record. Can't fault her voice and there's a sort of quiet power about the whole thing.

What a legend. 10 years in the making? Fair enough. Who needs endless treading of water, year upon year? Classic. Tour please.
If any of you are into classical music, listen to this extraordinary recording of Symphony No.3 by Henryk Górecky and Beth. Unbelievable!
Probably my AOTY so far - every track is great, her voice conveys so much depth and feeling.

Exactly what you'd expect from a Beth Gibbons solo joint; haunting, beautiful, incredibly well written, somehow archaic and fresh at the same time.
