Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 3% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 77.1/100, a mean average of 74.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 77.2/100. The standard deviation for this album is 20.4.

What was a half decent dance album has become a marketing gimmick wearing the skin of a pop album. Many have fallen for it, disappointing.
First I would like to say I like this album... but honestly, if Beyonce, Camila Cabello or Lady Gaga made the same songs, I truly believe this album wouldn't be this highly rated on this website haha
Beyonce album Renaissance is very similar to this album and imo a little better, but yet it's rated lower.... and it came out a year before this album. but anyway, I feel it's still a cool album
This album screams mediocrity in most aspects. Vocals, lyrics, and production. Some parts of some songs would make good electronic songs, but vocals over top don't do it for me. I'll need to jump into her back catalogue to better understand what everyone is raving about.
after a few months I have to say, this album is hypnotic
Charlie is truly a talent, but it cannot be overstated, she has a guaranteed high place in the middle class and it will not be possible to reach the top, but what she is doing deserves honorable recognition
I gave it 3 chances and it sucked more each time. The lyrics make my eyes roll into my skull. I don't understand the hype at all.
Is this too hyped? Yes. Is it good? YES.
My favourites:
club classics, talk talk, Girl so confusing
nothing but hype.
“Brat” trades the spectacle for the person. The production feels relatively milder. The hyper exaggeration has settled into a club tint. It’s well done but less distinct overall. The lyrical mood cycling is really endearing. Charli whips back and forth from ego to vulnerability in a way that feels genuine and even comedic. The change in tone from the existential “I think about it all the time” to the coke anthem of “365” sends me. More detail for a little less shine.
