Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 69.1/100, a mean average of 67.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 68.0/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.4.

Hope it grows more on me, but I do like it after a few listens.
It always feels with Franz lately that the wait is overly long for what ends up being a very solid short record and not much else. However I do accept that it's a fan issue and not a band issue.
Out of their contemporaries most bands haven't been able to age out of the zeitgeist as gracefully as Franz have. I honestly have never heard a bad Franz album and the streak continues thanks to today.
The concept of celebrating fear in its multi-facets as one grows older is noticeable. Even if it does not really speak to any new cool perspective or develops a lot throughout.
As a collection of songs it certainly does their catalogue justice. Typically groovy with choruses for days (Night or Day is the best for me). As an album it at the moment ranks above Always Ascending and FFS.
