Still early and I haven't listened to much, but this is a stealth AOTY contender. Every song is good-to-great. Only gets better as it goes. If not Panda Bear's best solo work, his best in years.

The most joyous and, in my opinion, best album by Panda Bear (Noah Lennox). In fact, it's probably my favourite Animal Collective linked album. From 'Venom's In', it's brilliant.

I highly recommend headphones. There’s so much detail, melody, and harmony to bliss out to. This album is already growing ever higher in my estimates. Venom’s In is stunning.

I think he’s finally released an album that might just rival Person Pitch. Every song offers something to wrap your ears around and I'm really enjoying the gorgeous longing in the penultimate track Elegy for Noah Lou.

This is the poppiest project I’ve ever heard out of any of the AC personnel, and I really enjoy it. There is some subtle psychedelic production details that really make the songs pop out nicely, along with blissful vocal harmonies.
I particularly like how the second half gradually descends into a dreamy atmosphere, and is finally countered by Defense, my favorite song here. The transition into this finale feels so triumphant and satisfying.
The album sounds a bit like The Beach Boys, but with a contemporary tone and some delicious details...
In some parts it is brilliant and time will confirm this.
