Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 68.8/100, a mean average of 67.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 67.8/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.0.

I can't believe how good this album is. A beauty.
The bar is low, but I enjoyed this more than any Ringo album since Ringorama in 2003. The "peace & love" and "I was in The Beatles" content is very low, which is a win. Decent, reasonable fun.
A lot of the tracks do sound very similar to each other and as a result it's not a particularly memorable record but am glad Ringo is still making music and having fun at his age
Honestly, it is probably the best solo Beatles record since at least the 90s and maybe the 80s. It is a solid piece of work due a lot to T-Bone Burnett whose vision and production drives it, Daniel Tashain who also wrote and produced, and to the guest performances of Billy Strings, Allison Kraus, Molly Tuttle, Lucius, and Larkin Poe. Ringo's voice is strong and he should get a lot of credit for the smart musical choices he made to do an album like this at this point in his career. It is exactly the kind of album you want from an 85 year old Ringo Starr. I will listen more than once.
