This is a comback LP after one of the longer hiatus periods I can remember, but after 34 years they seem to have picked up right where they left off. Unfortunately, where they left off didn't involve a great deal of critical attention or commercial success, but it's a fine effort nonetheless. Their sinuous, guitar-based, alt-rock approach has always had an odd sort of distinctiveness about it without being all that unconventional, and this record is no exception. RIYL: Midnight Oil, INXS, Close Lobsters... maybe even Shriekback, a little bit.
