Drifts along, polished and tidy, but in reality like trying to bounce up dog shit off a Penzance playfield with a Bounce sheet, it keeps your hands clean, just, but what are you going to do about it? Your pocket will be all shitty, no pocket meat for you, Grandma. The voice is smooth and professional, like an accountant and the synths glimmer, but most of the songs feel like polite exercises in pop rather than anything with teeth. A few tracks — ‘These Streets I Know’ and ‘Appetite’ — stand out just enough to keep you listening, but the rest fold into a bland, familiar hum that doesn’t linger. It’s pleasant, if unremarkable, the sort of album that doesn’t demand attention, and won’t haunt you either.
