A bad-ass dark EDM-reinvention? Yes, but what matters (to me at least) is the songwriter's at times gobsmacking knack for pop hooks, a catchy chorus, sensitive and clever lyrics that not only stand repeated listenings, but demand it.

Her best album to this day? Almost every song is exceptional, be it electro rave-up or intimate balladry.

A well-constructed album in that unique style of theirs: quite beautiful. Conceptual and entertaining.

Roger being Waters. As usual? Well, no because a) it's his first studio album in 25 years (!) and b) it's taken a hold on me like nothing released by Pink Floyd without him, or him without them, has since 1983 and The Final Cut. An excellent floydian piece of work that came late in the day, but come it did.

A Fleetwood Mac album in all but name (minus Stevie Nicks) and a collection of catchy, breezy pop songs with that characteristic flavor of theirs.

Americana with a black, bluesy feel. Excellent.

Is this folk-music? Goth-folk-pop perhaps? Whatever... Aldous Harding is evolving into a truely original artist. And this album is beautiful.

Sparks are never mediocre. And this is one of their best post-2000 albums.
