The innocence mission return with heavy nostalgic vibes. pure magic. immediate, intimate, introspective songs with a desire for human connection. i think this is their best work yet, and that's really saying something. truly one of the most enchanting records i've ever come across.

It took this one a few listens. i was a bit underwhelmed initially, probably because i expected the industrial age we heard in we appreciate power, which didn't make the cut? this is no art angels, but it's a strong album.

I went into this assuming i'd hate it. something about the album art / band name / album name / etc. was putting me off to it, but i'd seen it on a few lists, and it's... really good. post truth is gorgeous, with sweeping voices like out of old films. the second track is in 5/4, which is always a good idea. and it's solid throughout. the closer is quite lovely as well.
