I'm making an effort to catalog my entire music collection on BEA... but such an effort would be wasted without mentioning my beloved mixtapes! In the 90s, if you wanted a song but didn't want it bad enough to pay for a CD, you had to copy it from one of your friends' CDs, or if none of them had the album, you had to listen to the radio all day hoping they'd play the song you wanted... yeah, it sucked, thank god Napster made all that work obsolete! I have a lot of fond memories of these things though and for a long time these beat up cassettes were my only way to hear these songs after they fell out of radio and MTV circulation (which was pretty quick for most of these bands). I still have them for nostalgia purposes. I'm gonna try to make a list for each of them, listing the songs that are on them. Long live cassette! Until 2006 it was still the only format I could play in my car!

Another really nice mix tape. Keep 'em coming. PS - I still had a cassette player in my car up to 2008. I wonder if there is any out there who still has one in their car?
